J. Mark and Tina Johns, Lead Pastors

Mark and Tina have been married for 19 years and have 2 children, Tyler, 18, and Chrissy, 16. Pastor Mark has been in full time ministry for 16 years. For 6 of those he served as an itinerate speaker traveling more than 40 weeks a year speaking for over 220 churches in conferences from Ohio to the Cayman Islands and everywhere in between. Eleven years ago he and his brother founded Christ Central in Lake City which has grown to over 700 members and has planted 7 other churches as well as many ministries and missions around the world. Pastor Mark is also the founder and president of Vital Vision a leadership development organization.

  • His: New York City and Monterey, Indiana

  • Hers: I have to agree with New York City but I also love the beach.

 

What’s on your iPod

  • His: I’ve got some of it all but it’s loaded with classic Skynard and tons of leadership.

  • Hers: I do have a little of it all along with Travis Cottrell and sermons. I have yet to put it on my iPod but some of my favorite music is from Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Louis Armstrong, Nat King Cole, etc.

 

Favorite Books

  • His: The Impossible is Possible, John Mason, The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, John Maxwell, to many more to name.

  • Hers: Redeeming Love, Francine Rivers (every woman must read).

 

Favorite Movies

  • His: The Shawshank Redemption and The Usual Suspects (made for TV version)

  • Hers: The Village

 

Favorite Hobbies

  • His: Bow hunting big whitetail deer is my true obsession but I love golf too.

  • Hers: Reading a GOOD book, cooking, spending time with my family.

 

Odd Fact

  • His: My son was born on the same day of the year as me and within 30 minutes of the exact time I was born (and Tina was 2 weeks late, pretty freaky).

  • Hers: If you ask my kids everything about me is odd.
